How strong is your brand?

Answer these simple questions with a ‘yes’ or a ‘no’, as quickly as you can — score 1 for each ‘yes’.

  1. Do you have a clear vision for the future for your company?
  2. Do you know what your company strengths are?
  3. Would your customers and potential customers recognise these strengths?
  4. Do you know what your company weaknesses are?
  5. Do you know how your company is perceived?
  6. Have you got a set of values?
  7. Are they clearly identified and implemented throughout your business?
  8. Do you know who your main competitors are?
  9. Have you ever profiled them?
  10. Are you clear about your expertise/key areas of differentiation?
  11. Does your company appearance/style reflect your key differentiator and is it appropriate for your target audience?
  12. Do you know what it is that makes you unique or different?
  13. Do you have a brand positioning statement that describes what you offer, for whom and how you are different?
  14. Can you clearly describe your customers?
  15. Do you have a brand evolution plan in place that will take you from where you are to where you aspire to be?

How did you do?

If you scored 12-15, you’re well on your way to understanding your company brand.
